These photos were taken in Edmonton on November 5, 2022, where the temperature was −10°C overnight. Boyle Street is a low-income neighbourhood where charities struggle to provide limited assistance to people who are homeless. According to the Edmonton Coalition on Housing and Homelessness, 6,400 households are on wait lists for community housing and the city needs 2,000 more emergency beds. The temperature fell to −21°C the next week. On November 24 police cleared the encampment.
